In the project, bioash will be tested as an alternative additive to cement for stabilization and solidification of metal-contaminated soil. The hardened material must then be used as construction material in a noise barrier.
The project will be carried out by researchers at Luleå University of Technology in collaboration with problem owners and consultants in contaminated areas. The research project includes both laboratory and field trials and it will last for three years, between 2022 and 2025.
