Grant Description

Today's consumers are looking for more customised, eco-friendly fashion solutions.

Our project will develop a new digital infrastructure and innovative design application where consumers can design and order their own one-of-a-kind clothing. That will include choosing from our eco-friendly fabrics, with garments created by our UK manufacturing team in Brighton & Hove for a living wage. This unique digital system will be built using our expertise in garment design and production, in collaboration with our expert e-commerce technology team.

The digital infrastructure is designed around a custom-built AI & PHP filtration system which gives consumers access to our inventory of thousands of zero-waste dead-stock and vintage fabrics, filtering them down by colour, the customer's body size and garment feature preferences. The customer can then select their preferred fabric to design and order their fully customised garment - including plus sizes and adaptive design features for disabled customers - in just three easy steps.

Consumers are disillusioned with the devastating environmental impact of the fashion industry and the exploitation of today's garment workers. Our project marries new tech with traditional tailoring practices to offer modern consumers a service championing zero-waste production and ensuring the prosperity of the people making their clothes.
