The Hidden Artist Platform

The Hidden Artist is an interactive digital platform dedicated to educating, developing & improving outcomes for artists & their projects, focusing on underserved & underrepresented artists (women, non-binary individuals, ethnic minorities, & neurodiverse & disabled artists). The platform will connect grassroots artists, organisations & gatekeepers, developing early-stage projects to become financially sustainable.

Artists & creative organisations often struggle to build effective operational & internal systems to develop their projects & meet artistic & social outcomes. The Hidden Artist will address these systemic challenges by blending a subscription-based digital platform with 1-2-1 mentorship.

The Hidden Artist is founded by Saskia Coburn - an outstanding bid writer & creative consultant with nearly 30-years of experience in dance, theatre, music & interdisciplinary arts.

R&D will build a proof-of-concept for the technology behind the networking platform, combining accessible & paywalled functions, with a website & mobile app functionality, video tutorials & a Slack channel; connecting artists with resources, opportunities, & stronger networks.

10 individual clients will test the model; receiving deeply engaging 1-2-1 mentorship from Saskia's core team. By working through the details of user journeys, the Hidden Artist will improve the governance, evaluation & organisational infrastructure of creatives across all disciplines.
