Zero Emission Fire Appliance 2

The ZEPA\_2 project brings together Equipmake, Emergency One, London Fire Brigade, and Cenex to specify, develop and demonstrate a novel energy management system which will enable Fire Services globally to migrate to a fully battery electric fleet.

Fire Appliances are required on occasion to pump water for extended periods requiring diesel vehicles to be replenished via a fuel bowser during extended operation.

This project will develop a system to "daisy chain" multiple electric fire trucks, and to enable the connection of an "electric bowser" vehicle to allow continuous operation of a fully EV fire pumping appliance.
