Grant Description
On November 8, 2023, a meeting was held at the Presidential Palace in San Jose, Costa Rica, where the Costa Rican government received a delegation from the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Within the meeting, the Chinese Government announced its donation of $70,000 USD to Costa Rica's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship. The delegation and donation announcement was received specifically by the President of Costa Rica, Dr.
Rodrigo Chaves Robles, and the Foreign Minister, Arnoldo André, and delivered by the Vice President of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Shi Taifeng. The donation will be used to support the National Children's Hospital of Costa Rica.
The ultimate purpose of the meeting was to honor the strong bilateral relationship between the two nations and to explore/discuss cooperation, investment, and tourism efforts for the future.
