Grant Description
Since 1977, Tianjin Province has been sending medical teams to Gabon. On November 9, 2023, the Tianjin Municipal Health Commission dispatched the 25th medical team to Gabon. On November 15, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Gabon hosted a reception for the 25th medical team.
On November 29, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Gabon Li Jinjin visited the Libreville team of the 25th medical team in Gabon.
The 25th Chinese medical team to Gabon comprises 26 members, including specialists in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, ophthalmology, stomatology, otolaryngology, anesthesia, and nursing. The team also includes two chefs and two translators.
Their primary assignments are at the China-Gabon Cooperation Hospital in Libreville and the China-Gabon Friendship Hospital in Franceville, continuing the tradition of previous medical teams.
