Grant Description

On November 10, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea awarded the Chinese Ambassador Award to graduates of Butuka Academy in Port Moresby, Papua new Guinea. The number of recipients and the amount of the scholarships are both unknown. In 2018, Butuka Academy was established as the China-PNG Friendship School in Port Moresby, PNG.

Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in PNG, attended the 2nd Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony of Butuka Academy and presented the Chinese Ambassador’s Award to the outstanding graduates.
