Grant Description

On October 18, 2023, China's Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Uzbekistan signed letters of exchange, which committed MOFCOM grant funding for the 20MW Chorvoq Wind Power Project.

The purpose of the project is to construct a 20MW wind power plant -- with 4 wind turbines (each having 5MW of power generation capacity) -- in the Chorvoq (Uzbek: Chorvoq, Russian: Чарвак) settlement within Tashkent Province.

The project scope also includes the construction of a 35kV substation, about 3 kilometers of off-site access roads, and about 2 kilometers of new roads. The project site is located about 2 kilometers away from the left bank of the Chorvoq reservoir. China Energy Engineering Group Xinjiang Electric Power Design Institute is responsible for project supervision.
