Grant Description

On December 6, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Niger donated XOF 25 million to Niger's Solidarity Fund for the Safeguard of the Homeland (FSSP) during a ceremony held at the Mahatma Gandhi Conference Center in Niamey.

The donation was intended to showcase the solidarity between China and Niger, and support Niger through the sanctions placed on it following the widely condemned July 2023 military coup that took place in the country.
