CHEC donates medical supplies to Mascara Women and Children’s Hospital in Algeria

On December 28, 2023, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) Algeria held a donation ceremony at the Chinese Embassy in Algiers to present medical supplies valued at approximately 1,000,000 Algerian dinars to the Mascara Women and Children’s Hospital (EHS Mère et Enfant de Mascara) in Mascara Province The ceremony was attended by Economic and Commercial Counselor Chen Zhong of the Chinese Embassy, Jin Zhong, Chief of the 28th Chinese medical team in Algeria, CHEC Algeria General Manager Sun Yingguang, Hospital Director Ahmed Yassine Ibbou, Deputy Director Kessira Kada, and representatives from the Mascara sub-team of the Chinese medical mission.

Speeches emphasized the donation’s contribution to strengthening medical care for women and children, and the enduring friendship between China and Algeria.

CHEC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Algerian public health and improving local medical conditions, while hospital officials expressed deep gratitude and pledged to use the supplies to enhance patient services.

The donation was part of a larger initiative launched by the Chinese Embassy in Algeria to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Chinese medical aid to Algeria.

In total, 15 Chinese enterprises contributed to the campaign, collectively donating 9.65 million Algerian dinars in support of local hospitals and free public health services.
