CORE B: ABSTRACT Core B, Tissue Procurement, Pathology, and Genomics will be led by Drs. Alina Iuga, MD, and Katherine A. Hoadley, PhD. This core will support the SPORE projects through sample collection, tracking, translational pathology, genomics, and data analysis. The core takes advantage of existing infrastructure supported by the
Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center to provide SPORE investigators with access to quality samples and data. The development of an integrated laboratory information system and database tracking and management system will allow for easy tracking and transition of data and information from the hospital to tissue banking to
pathology and genomic services. The PIs of the core bring expertise in pancreatic cancer, pathology and genomics and will provide guidance and data analysis for the projects.
