Grant Description

On December 5, 2023, the Chinese Government provided SBD 1.5 million to the Tawanaora Community in East Are’are Constituency, Malaita Province. The funds will support the construction of a school classroom, a water supply system, and an ablution facility.

This project is funded under the "Rural Sustainable Development Program”(RSDP), a Chinese Government initiative supporting community infrastructure projects to improve the livelihoods of rural populations. The total program funding is US$10 million (approximately SBD 80 million).

The project funding agreement was signed jointly with Record ID#107059 on December 5, 2023, for a combined total of SBD 3 million. Each project received SBD 1.5 million.
