Grant Description

On October 18, 2023, Luo Zhaohui, Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, and Moin ul Haque, Pakistani Ambassador to China, signed an exchange of notes on the establishment of a polio vaccine project in Pakistan. The signing took place at the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang and interim Pakistani Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar were in attendance. Under this project, China will provide 30 million doses of polio vaccine to Pakistan free of charge. As of June 2025, there is no indication of implementation beginning on the project.
