Grant Description

From November 5 to 7, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka distributed 5,000 dry ration packs worth LKR 37.5 million across all five districts of the Northern Province of Sri Lanka under the "Faxian Great Wish Charity Project". The "Faxian Great Wish Charity Project" was initiated by the Buddhist Association of China.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka, the donation is intended to foster support and cooperation between Buddhist communities in both countries.

Distribution ceremonies were held in district secretariats, temples, kovils and churches across Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Kilinochchi, Jaffna, and Mannar.
