Grant Description

On November 24th, 2023, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) received a USD 100,000 grant from the Chinese government. The grant will be used to procure operational and safety equipment and provide trainings to Search and Rescue teams.

The grant is a part of a larger USD 1,000,000 support package for Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM) member states.

Member states include Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Jamaica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Monserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago.
