Grant Description

In 2023, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) signed a grant agreement with the Government of Palestine for Phase 2 of the Ramallah Road Extension Project.

The purpose of the project is to renovate a 2.7 km section of a ring road in Ramallah that links Al-Awda Square to the intersection of Columbia Street and Abu Dhabi Street (Al-Rayhan). On January 23, 2024, both governments signed a project implementation agreement.

Then, on July 3, 2024, Li Xin, Deputy Director of the Chinese Liaison Office in Palestine, attended the bid opening ceremony for the project.
