The goal of this Administrative Core (AC) is to create the Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Center (LCTRC) that provides a programmatic approach to C&T research that expands and fully integrates efforts and connects them directly with existing IDeA COBREs and the INBRE programs at UofL. The AC will lead and
manage the cores supporting a single point of access for C&T research for UofL students, faculty, and community members. The AC will provide governance, needs assessment, evaluation, and ensure the cores work together cohesively and in a coordinated manner through the following Specific Aims: Specific Aim 1: Create a formal management and governance structure.
Specific Aim 2: Administer resources to increase clinical trial capacity and capabilities. Specific Aim 3: Increase LCTRC and UofL IDeA COBREs and INBRE interaction and synergy. Specific Aim 4: Create and optimize a Tracking and Evaluation program. Impact. Achieving these aims will create a flexible and accountable management structure for increased C&T
research; enlarge the C&T research infrastructure, and add novel capabilities that will allow us to perform more C&T investigations in the urban and rural populations. The LCTRC will serve as a single point of contact for C&T research infrastructure, training, funding, and community engagement, which will ultimately lead to novel
therapeutics, decreased health disparities, and improved public health.
