Grant Description

This $410,000 grant is partially funding a Feasibility Study (FS) and pilot project for Jiangsu Communications Services Company, Ltd. to evaluate fuel cell applications for telecommunications infrastructure in China.

The objective of the proposed project is to qualify fuel cell technology applications for use by the telecommunications industry in China.

The fuel cell systems would be used for both backup and baseload power, replacing lead acid batteries and diesel fuel combustion generators.

In addition to the pilot demonstration, the FS includes training and the development of standards for fuel cell technology growth in China.
