Grant Description

This grant partially funds a feasibility study to assess the economic, financial, and technical viability of a liquified natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal and distribution network near the Port of Kamsar in the Bok region of Guinea (Project).

The Project is expected to help diversify Guinea's energy market that currently depends on hydropower, diesel, and heavy fuel oil.

The Project is expected to build a large-scale LNG receiving terminal, storage tanks, high-capacity regasification units, and distribution infrastructure.

The grantee, West Africa LNG Group Guinea SA, has selected Plum Energy LLC of Tukwila, WA to complete the feasibility study.
