Grant Description
This $497,420 technical assistance grant supports two technical procurement advisors to assist the Republic of Botswana's Ministry of Minerals, Energy, and Water Resources (MMEWR).
The grant represents Phase III of the Procurement Assistance Program for Botswana under the Global Procurement Initiative.
The advisors will provide strategic and technical procurement advice on energy and water sector procurements, with the goal of incorporating value into the MMEWR's procurement process.
A value-based procurement system will help MMEWR implement sustainable, high-quality infrastructure projects and may increase opportunities for U.S. companies to bid on and potentially win energy and water tenders.
