Technical Assistance - PORT OF CORINTO COMPETITIVENESS UPGRADE PROJECT, through Government of Nicaragua

This $430,000 Technical Assistance (TA) grant to Nicaragua's National Port Authority (Empresa Portuaria Nacional, EPN) provides recommendations for upgrades to improve the competitiveness of the Port of Corinto including upgrading the cargo facilities, introducing modern IT technology, improving the security infrastructure, expanding port operating areas and reviewing operational procedures.

The TA will promote stronger commercial ties with the United States through the CAFTA-DR regional trade initiative, as well as provide a more competitive physical and modern infrastructure for the Port.
