Grant Description

This grant funds a feasibility study, including a preliminary front-end engineering design, to support the development of Senegals first major domestic onshore gas pipeline (Project).

The Project is expected to be the backbone of Senegals domestic gas sector, enabling the development of a mid- and downstream gas sector in Senegal and significantly reducing the cost of power generation. The Project will support the U.S. Governments Electrify Africa Act and Power and Prosper Africa Initiatives, as well as USTDAs U.S.

Gas Infrastructure Exports Initiative. The Grantee is Fonds Souverain dInvestissements Stratgiques (FONSIS).

The Study will be competed among U.S. firms on the USTDA website and publicized via Sam.gov and highlighted through USTDA and Power Africa social media and marketing platforms.
