Grant Description

The Global Procurement Initiative: Understanding Best Value (GPI) Procurement Assistance Program (Program) for Nepal is a national-level Program made up of two components: (1) a three day in-country workshop in Kathmandu and (2) a 13-calendar day orientation visit to the United States for public procurement leaders.

The goals of the Program are to assist in educating public procurement officials at the national level, increase transparency in the government's procurement processes, and create a cohesive, consistent approach to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office's (PPMO) procurement training program.

The Program will be carried out in collaboration with Nepal's PPMO, the George Washington University Law School's Government Procurement Law Program and USTDA's GPI technical specialists.
