Grant Description
This technical assistance (TA) grant provides funding for a Procurement Advisor and a Technical Transportation Procurement Expert, collectively referred to as Advisors, to assist Panama's Ministry of Public Works (MOP) for a period of 18 months.
The grant represents Phase III of the Procurement Assistance Program for Panama under the Global Procurement Initiative (GPI).
The Advisors will provide strategic and technical procurement advice, with the goal of incorporating value-based methodologies into MOP's procurement processes.
A value-based procurement system will help MOP implement sustainable, high-quality infrastructure projects and may increase opportunities for United States (U.S.) companies to bid on and potentially win tenders.
