Grant Description

The Soviet Unions collapse created new constraints and challenges for Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, leaving them with outmoded education systems.

The Quality Learning Project (QLP) helped them move away from the tradition of rote learning and memorization to student-centered learning approaches that developed critical thinking skills.

QLP further supported government efforts to develop and implement their national education strategies and the Education for All Fast Track Initiative grants.
