The Bayer-USAID Contraceptive Security Initiative (CSI) is an innovative public-private partnership that seeks to address the ever-increasing need for affordable contraceptives in the developing world.
Through the CSI, Bayer and USAID are collaborating to introduce a commercially-sustainable oral contraceptive, at an affordable price, to middle income women across SubSaharan Africa. The Global Development Alliance (GDA) partnership leverages Bayer resources and USG resources in a 2-to-1 match.
