Grant Description

The Litani River Basin Management Support (LRBMS) Program is a new technical assistance activity funded by USAID in Lebanon. It is a 4-year program with a budget of $10 Million.

LRBMS improves sustainable water resource management in the Litani River Basin through technical support to the Litani River Authority (LRA) and implementation of limited small scale infrastructure activities.

Broadly, the program will provide Lebanon with a model of river basin-based integrated water resource management that could be replicated across the country.

Integrated irrigation management will enhance irrigation practices for farmers, provide pollution mitigation for the river basin, and improve public health.
