Grant Description

This project expand access to drinking water in governorates with combined poverty and extreme poverty rates of between 40 and 61 %. These governorates are Beni Suef, Minia, Sohag, Qena and Assiut.

Additional indirect jobs will be created through the purchase of pipes, valves and cement all of which is manufactured and procured in Egypt.

Equally important is the fact that the projects will provide first-time household water and wastewater service for low-income Egyptians.
