IBTCI conducted five simultaneous evaluations of USAID-assisted projects in the Republic of Armenia which focused on various sectors including democracy and governance.
The evaluations included: Mid-term Evaluation of the Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement (SATR) Project; Final Evaluation of the Political Process Development in Armenia Project (CEPPS-NDI); Final Evaluation of the Advancing Armenias Elections Management and Democratic Culture Project (CEPPS-IFES); Final Evaluation of the Small Scale Infrastructure Program (SSIP); and Mid-term Evaluation of the Armenia Rule of Law Program (ABA-ROLI).
Each of these five evaluations provided an assessment of the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of the USAID initiatives.
The evaluations utilized both qualitative and quantitative methods including desk review, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and nationwide surveys. The information gathered was analyzed and formulated into individual evaluation reports.
Each of these reports provided an assessment of the extent to which the projects were able to achieve intended/set goals and objectives and how future activities can be made more effective. These evaluations will be used by USAID for project planning over the next three to five years.
