The ARDI is a program that focuses on rural economic development by assisting communities and villages in Armenia, to be implemented in three rural areas outside of the Yerevan, i.e. Lori, Vayots Dzor and Siunik Marzes of Armenia.
This Program will center around two components; Local Economic Development and Small Scale Infrastructure Rehabilitation as well as a Cross-Cutting Theme that will assess and address rural environmental issues as they relate to the local economy.
The local economic development component will assess target communities competitive advantages, increase entrepreneurship, and improve market access.
The small scale infrastructure projects will be decided upon with community input with a focus on creating new employment opportunities and directly contributing to a communitys economic development. The project will work in 48 communities (12 clusters) of above mentioned marzes.
