Grant Description

Building renovation and equipment installation, including the Pathogen Access Control System, at interim Epidemiological Monitoring Stations/Central Reference Laboratories (EMS/CRLs). Design of establishment of permanent CRLs. Training of state personnel in laboratory and biological safety practices and diagnostic and epidemiology training.

Personnel were also trained in epidemiology and diagnostics, biosafety and bioethics, and computer and information technology.
