The challenge of obtaining a sustainable future in accordance with the 2030 Agenda requires both decisions based on science, as well as the understanding of citizens for the changes needed. This project focuses on climate change in the Baltic Sea, our nearest part of the sea.
We aim to give students and teachers aid, support and knowledge to tackle the anxieties connected to the warmer environment climate change that will appear in the Baltic Sea. The project will run during a three year period, so the material can be optimized.
The target group is upper secondary school, and the project will be communicated through channels used by many teachers - Facebook groups, article in teacher magazine and e-mail to principals to be forwarded, amongst others.
The project includes students supporting scientists in collecting data to get a deeper understanding of the scientific apporach, and teachers will gain new knowledge about the Baltic Sea for future teaching. Digital material will be produced and placed on a learning hub available for all. Results will be communicated through well established channels, both digital and physical.
