10 new insights in climate science

The application concerns an initiative to strengthen communication around the scientific series ‘10 New Insights in Climate Science.

This series of publications is an international project to summarize the latest knowledge in climate change research in a way that is understandable to non-subject matter experts, with annual reports published in conjunction with the UN Climate Change Summit and officially received by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Communication efforts must be strengthened through cooperating directly with people involved in the UN climate negotiations.

This is done by Putting together a reference group to be able to develop 10NICS in a way that is useful to them, and reach out through several different networks. Films with ‘Climate Science Champions’.

In short films / explainers, the scientific insights can be conveyed in an engaging way by well-known people with connections to climate research and their own well-established networks.

Films are designed to have a big impact on social media and are material for a longer film. better exposure at climate summits. New attractive ways of communicating research during these events.
