Infra4.0 - Joint industrial digital transformation

Future infrastructure demands are extensive, necessitating large investments and with extensive environmental impact. The challenges include speed, cost efficiency and, most importantly, sustainability. With an holistic view of the entire infrastructure value chain, considerable potential can be identified.

These potentials reside within each phase of the value chain and also between phases and in connection with infrastructure users.

These potentials, or opportunities, depend on the complex exchange of data and information between actors and systems.

Digitalization can play a critical part in terms of efficient communication, decision support and AI.A major reason for the stagnating productivity in the industry is the fragmented structure, and the lack of incentives for improvements. There is a need of establishing a common direction and a consolidation of digital initiatives, tools, and systems.

No single actor can bring about the digital transformation of the transport sector on their own.The purpose and aim of the project is to accelerate the digital transformation by bringing all relevant together in a co-creation process for a common vision and roadmap.

The project will address the current state of digitalization in the sector  by highlighting future demands, identify best practices, create opportunities for integration and build incentives new business models and organizational change.The project will systematically outline the challenges in the value chain and thematically analyze and transform insights to strategies and recommendations.

This is done in a co-creation process with all relevant actors in the value chain, where obstacles to digitalization are identified and proposed solutions validated and communicated.

The project will establish a joint roadmap for the transport infrastructure industry, facilitating future digitization activities and investments.
