Sweden is facing major economic challenges with many new arrivals and large groups with reduced working capacity. This project consists of five sub-projects. The first three are about integration.
We study the long-term labor market effects of: 1) intensified matching efforts for new arrivals, 2) being granted a temporary instead of a permanent residence permit, 3) the waiting time before receiving an asylum decision. The other two projects study how people with reduced working capacity can be rehabilitated.
We study whether the initiative "supported employment" and whether private actors can contribute to more effective rehabilitation.
