The purpose is to arrange the Forum for Working Life Research´s (FALF) annual summer conference FALF2021 on 14–16 June 2021 in digital format in the application Zoom.
FALF2021 is organized by the research group Sustainable Working Life (HAL) at the Academy of Health, Care and Social Welfare (HVV) at Mälardalen University (MDH).The overall theme of the conference is different contemporary, future, and historical perspectives on healthy working life. Is a healthy working life a utopia or reality?
Four keynote speakers are invited based on this theme: Professor Katarina Bälter, Professor Kerstin Isaksson, Associate Professor Sara Kalm, Doctor Anna-Carin Fagerlind Ståhl.
In addition to keynotes, oral research presentations (86 abstracts), four symposia and four workshops are given where participants work together on specific topics. The conference is aimed at working life researchers and practitioners as well as the social partners, mainly in Sweden.
At FALF2021, an international session with 3 presentations in English is also given. The organizing committee consists of six researchers at MDH who worked continuously with the preparations during the spring.
The researchers have created the conference website with the support of the communication department at MDH, developed the theme, planned the program, marketed the conference on social media, assessed abstracts and communicated with partner organizations, media and conference participants and taken care of ongoing practical matters around the organization of a three-day digital conference.Collaborating organizations for FALF conferences are traditionally AFA Försäkring and Forte, and at FALF2021 also Samhällskontraktet, a cooperation forum between the city of Västerås, Eskilstuna municipality, Region Västmanland, Region Sörmland and Mälardalen University. At present there are approx. 170 registered and about 200-250 participants are expected.
