Äldre i Centrum Vetenskapligt supplement (Scientific Supplement)

Äldre i Centrum Vetenskapligt supplement, ÄiCVS, is a new peer review journal that publish scientific papers in the swedish language in the scope of older persons life, health and position in society.Granting access to resarch results in swedish will contribute to the building of knowledge close to practice.

We welcome contributions from all research areas concerned with older people and aging, from the processes of biological aging to questions about social care, healthcare and welfare for older persons.

Our aim is to publish papers with high relevance and usefulness.ÄiCVS is published by Stiftelsen Stockholms läns Äldrecentrum. Editorial work is performed by a two person staff, of whom one holds a PhD. The journal´s scientific board judge incoming manuscript in terms of relevance, and takes decisions on publication.

Together with the editorial staff, the board appoints peer reviewers, and takes part in the evaluation of manuscripts.The target group for ÄiCVS´ publishing consists of a broad spectrum of researchers, personell in health and social care, students, decision makers, the general public and older people themselves.

The first issue was published in print, and digitally on aicvs.se, in early 2021.

In the future we will publish peer reviewed papers continiously on the web, and in print at least once a year.The edition amounts to 2 500 copies, mostly distributed with the edition of the Äldre i Centrum magazine.

At aicvs.se you can also find information about the journal, information to authors and the registration form for our newletter.Our aging society makes it even more important for science to reach out, in order to meet the challenge in health and social care and to strive for a more healthy aging.

A grant from Forte would strongly contribute to the editorial strength and quality of ÄiCVS, both in print and in digital channels. Therefore we apply for an annual publishing grant of SEK 400 000.
