Four conferences have previously been held with links to the University of Gothenburg: "New Perspectives", 2014 with the Västra Götaland region as main organizer and "Steer and lead the welfare of the future" 2016, 2018 and 2020 (main organizers have been the University of Gothenburg, Swedish Municipalities and Regions and Forte).
All conferences have focused on how Swedish welfare needs to develop the organizational conditions so that there is a balance between citizens ´increased and changing expectations of welfare, the policy´s mission to govern, and employees´ opportunities to perform good work with opportunities for good working conditions and development.About 300 people from all over the country participated in the conferences with a broad geographical representation and from representatives of various activities and organizations.
In addition, researchers from Swedish universities and colleges have participated.Overall goalThe ambition is to be able to link current Swedish research in the area with ongoing development projects in Swedish welfare.What is presented at the conference will be relevant to various actors in the welfare sector.Good examples presented by representatives of companies are interspersed with a presentation of current research.Target groupsThe conference is a national conference.Politicians within the state, regions / county councils and municipalities.Senior officials such as directors, development managers and CFOs, preferably together with their management teams.Senior civil servants in HR, eg HR directorsHigh representatives of occupational health careResearchersProfessional associationsLeading representatives of the social partners in the public sectorLeading representatives of user organizations
