Social services forum conference 2022

Social Services Forum is a national two-day conference. It has been held every other year since the 1990s.

The goal of Social Services Forum is to create a dialog between researchers and social service stakeholder groups such as social workers, social service managers, municipal politicians and others.

During Social Services Forum, new and timely research which is relevant to municipal social service organizations is presented and discussed.

This process is intended to generate new research ideas with relevance for the social services but also generate ideas regarding how research can be applied in practice and policy settings.

Gothenburg University´s Department of Social Work together with Gothenburg Regional Research and Development unit, the Association of Sweden´s Social Managers, and Sweden´s Central Association for Social Work are responsiple for planning this year´s Social Services Forum including choosing a theme and inviting speakers.

These organizations also provide resources for the planning of Social Services Forum.
