Grant Description

The conference "Transformations and sustainable work" is based on the structure of a national conference that previously has been arranged by the network AFoU, highlighting "The Nordic model - Collaboration for social sustainability in working life, workplace innovation, and competitiveness".

The scientific focus is based on a Nordic model in working life in an increasingly fast pace of changes, and R&D areas related to change, organizational resilience, supply of competences, and sustainable work. The conference offers an inspiring national meeting arena with the aim of adding knowledge by illuminating different perspectives from practice (workplaces, functions/sectors) and current Swedish and international research.

Our ambition is that research will be of practical benefit, that new contacts are created for the exchange of experience and initiatives for new R&D collaborations around priority areas in both Swedish and European/global research environments.

Also, we will contribute to knowledge development of research methodologies that promote combined high research quality and high value for practitioners, and that contribute to visability and dissemination of Swedish research internationally.Target groups are researchers and practitioners from different sectors, social partners, authorities, educational actors, etc.

The conference is planned to the fall 2022 with around 100 participants with following structure: i) Project cavalcade, ii) Keynote, iii) Around Sweden - EU outlook, iv) Workshop. The organizers are the Network AFoU´s working committee with RISE and Linköping University as coordinators, led by the network´s chairman: Göran Johnsson, former union chairman IF Metall and the government´s national coordinator for increased quality in elderly care.

The conference´s program committee consists of AFoU´s reference group with representatives from the Labor market parties (parter (Svenskt Näringsliv, LO, Saco, TCO, SKR, Arbetsgivarverket, PTK och OFR.)
