Sociologidagarna is the main conference of the Swedish Sociological Association, and it is organized every second year.
The conference brings together researchers from all of Sweden, and aims to stimulate the common dialogue among Swedish sociologists, as well as ongoing discussions in more specialiaized research fields. During the conference, ongoing research is discussed in different parallell working groups. We also have semi-plenaries, and keynotes of invited prominent scholars.
The theme of Sociologidagarna in Uppsala is "Beyond the Crisis", and for this conference, Richard Swedberg (Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Cornell University and Stockholm University) and Maria Brandén (Associate Professor at The Institute for Analytical Sociology (IAS)) have accepted our invitation of having keynotes.
The Department of Sociology at Uppsala University hosts the conference, which takes place 18-20 March 2022. The conference is located in Campus Engelska Parken in Uppsala. We expect approximately 250 participants.
This application concerns conference support to cover costs related to keynote speakers, the planning of the conference, and for reducing conference fees for certain groups of participants (students, Ph D students, emeriti, and specially invited high school teachers in sociology).
