An internationa conference with the title Caring in a changing world is planned to the 26th -28th of April, 2022 at Mälardalen University (MDU). The title elucidate that we are all living through a time of extraordinary change in the way we provide health care. Health services are evolving with new technologies being used and care provided in less familiar contexts.
At this time of rapid change we need to keep caring as a constant and understand how best health care practitioners can achieve this.The conference has four themes:* Caring using technologies* Caring and learning* Caring in the community* Caring for people in different life situationsThe conference is conducted in collaboration with Nordic College of Caring Science and European Academy of Caring Science ( international networks with researchers in caring science).The target group is researchers from areas within health and Welfare, collaboration partners and health professionals working in municipalities and regions, doctoral students and other students.
Paying participants are estimated to 175 persons.
With a financial contribution we can invite more participants.An overall aim is to establish dialogs between researchers and professionals, which also is mirrored in the key-note speakers presentations.The programThe 26th Pre-conference for doctoral students.The 27th -28th Main conference with key-note speakers:Kathleen Galvin, professor of Nursing Practice och Shuvart Bhattacharjee, doctoral student.
Both from the University of Brighton.Charlotte Delmar,professor in Nursing Science, Aarhus University.Mats Holmberg, associate professor in Caring Science, Mälardalen University.Unni Lindström, professor emerita in Clinical Caring Science at Åbo Academy, together with Ulf and Lucas Donner, specialst nurses in Mental Health.
Concurrent sessions are held by conference participants who present their research after a review process by a scientific committee. Until now, about 40 abstracts have been submitted.
