Forum for working life research (FALF) is a meeting place and unifying force for working life research in Sweden (see http://www.falf.se).
The association participates in the debate and funding of working life research, encourages the participation of working life researchers in the debate on working life issues and initiates and promotes joint research projects.
The association shall promote new recruitment of working life researchers and stimulate publication in Swedish and international journals.
The association, in collaboration with Forte, runs the national graduate school in human work science. The association´s tasks include arranging a recurring research conference on current working life issues.
The planned conference for 2022 will be carried out in collaboration with Luleå University of Technology on 13 - 15 June in Kiruna.
The conference is interdisciplinary and is aimed at working life and health and safety researchers in various disciplines such as technology, social sciences, medicine, humanities, economics, social work, and care science. About 120-150 participants are expected.
The theme for the 2022 conference is The work of the future - the future of work where we especially highlight opportunities and challenges with change in working life through, for example, pandemics, climate threats and green adjustment and how it can affect working conditions and people´s work and living environments.Participants register for the conference and send in an abstract via the conference website.
Selected abstracts are sorted into sessions with similar themes and presented during the conference days.
In addition to presentations of individual contributions, we plan for symposia, workshops, study visits and about four keynote speakers. Dissemination takes place mainly by publishing approved abstracts in an online publication.
