A flexible travel service - public transport based on behavior and needs

The project aimed to investigate and and developed different behavior types based on travelers´ behavior and needs linked to reducing "unnecessary car trips" in favor of public travel (bus & train). The types of behavior resulted i.a. in a packaged method support to promote public travel - and reduce "unnecessary" car journeys. The method support was tested by owners of needs and has been launched to everyone who is interested in applying the method support in their work with the goal of getting more people to choose to travel by public transport.

The result was a completed test of a travel offer based on Behavior Types, as well as packaged method support; Behavioral types - a methodological support for increasing collective travel. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

Based on surveys (n>1000) and interviews, a group division was made according to travel patterns, the insights of which were analyzed separately via COM-B-modellen. Furthermore, the material was tested and evaluated by need owners. A smaller experiment based on the support was also carried out and analyzed.
