Learning to study-a toolbox for increased capacity, motivation and desire for life long learning

In lifelong learning, the individual´s own driving forces for learning are of the utmost importance to successfully absorb new knowledge, for personal development and for a strong social structure.

The purpose of the project is to map individuals´ attitudes to their own learning, inspire a new learning culture and to develop a digital toolbox with the intention of stimulating motivation and curiosity for one´s own learning. The results will benefit both the scientific community as well as business and all areas of society.

The project is expected to result in a better understanding of how individuals view their own learning, increased understanding of what creates motivation for learning, a changed view of the learning culture and a digital toolbox that will strengthen the desire for learning and that is accessible to all individuals in society.

The scientific results will be disseminated to the scientific community in the form of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, but also through lectures, podcasts and popular science journals to the rest of society. Approach and implementation: ** Denna text är maskinöversatt **

The project starts with a scoping review to map the gaps of knowledge in the research field. Then the digital toolbox is designed and a survey tool is designed to be able to measure factors such as perceived motivation and curiosity. Two intervention studies are carried out on different target groups, such as university students, teachers and clients at the Adjustment Fund.

Regular workshops and evaluations of collected data are planned to be able to refine the toolbox but also to better capture what the driving forces behind one´s own learning are.
