In partnership with Boden’s municipality, we propose a project aiming at delineating and modelling by computational power the different fluxes of energy within a closed aqua-agro food farming system located downstream of the H2 Green Steel industry, server halls and battery central.
The release of low heat waters from the metallurgic and warm air from other activities represents, if strategically channelled, a valuable source of energy essential for the establishment of a sustainable food production site.
Nonetheless, while the potential of such a setup is very high, it remains at this stage rather theoretical since the energy flow between the energy inputs and outputs will be constantly fluctuating. Both in amount and type, notably due to the biological components, here referred to as a “biological battery”.
Our goal is to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist us in the integration of the multitude of parameters to achieve a more sustainable and circular food production, notably by re-integrating energy and bio-wastes into such a production system.
One of the main strengths of our project lies in the unique combination of trans-disciplinary academic experts in AI, microbial-, plant- and animal production systems with several industrial and municipal partners.
Altogether, this represents a unique opportunity to build competence for the future and make Boden a reference of tomorrow´s sustainable cities.
