Purpose and goal:
Aim was to evaluate the effect of particles for technical cleanliness, for longer life of products. A small, confined system was studied to obtain better particle cleanliness in the value chain. Representatives of RISE AB and VCE went through the value chain during a visit to VCE´s facility in Eskilstuna.
A literature study regarding the effects of particulate matter was conducted. The study covers knowledge, technology and methodology regarding technical cleanliness. Highlighted topics were electrification, AI and cleanliness in production. Expected results and effects:
Root Cause Analysis can be used to find causes of particles in production in a systematic way to identify possible measures. In connection with electrification and other new issues related to this, it will be required to use alternative analysis methods for new particles and higher accuracy. There is potential for applications in these areas.
Approach and implementation:
The work was carried out as a value chain analysis at VCE and a literature study. The arrangement worked well as these complemented each other and functioned well as a basis for discussions and conclusions for future development needs in technical cleanliness. It was very good with the opportunity to visit a production facility.
