Purpose and goal:
Projektet H22-huset aimed to reduce loneliness through a new housing type. This objective has been achieved through the development of a "porous house" that promotes social interaction and community. Through research, the citizens´ perspective, and an innovative architectural design, the project has successfully created a housing type that integrates both the private and the communal, thus addressing the challenges associated with the increased loneliness in society.
Expected results and effects:
The H22 house resulted in a new housing type that actively counteracts loneliness by integrating common and private spaces. The project contributed to an understanding of the relationship between housing and loneliness, and created a socio-urban interface to promote social interactions. Expected effects include increased social cohesion and a reduced emotional distance between urban residents, which can lead to a reduction in perceived loneliness and strengthen community in urban environments.
Approach and implementation:
Projektet H22-huset was characterized by a methodical and multifaceted approach. By combining strategic analysis, citizens´ perspectives through surveys and in-depth interviews, and an innovative architectural design, the project achieved a comprehensive understanding of how housing forms can affect loneliness. This integrated approach enabled the creation of a housing type that both responds to societal needs and promotes social cohesion, demonstrating the project´s success in both planning and execution.
