The purpose of the project is to create a game that has the opportunity to engage and create conditions for reflection and thereby support concrete transformations for sustainability. The project will therefore create, implement and follow up large-scale games (Megagames) as a format for discussion and dialogue about sustainable consumption.
The games will be an arena for discussion and reflection on who has the power to enable sustainable consumption, and provide space for perspectives from groups that are not usually involved in the issues. We will also engage organizations that will be directly affected by change linked to sustainable consumption.
The research results on sustainable consumption and knowledge of underrepresented target groups will come from the Mistra project Sustainable Consumption, and the project will use the methods for communication and collaboration developed in the Swedish Energy Agency´s research project Turning the Tide (Att vända strömmen). After the project, materials will be available to others who want to use the game platform we develop, to be used freely by both players and organizations who want to use the format in transitioning to sustainable consumption.
