Integrated arena - establishment in Stockholm Norrort

Purpose and goal:

The aim was to create opportunities for children and young adults with a variety of functions to participate in the municipalities´ open leisure activities. Passalen has influenced the municipal structures by training municipal employees in the Integrated Arena method.

We have created a plan for collaboration at start-up. Partly through current situation analyses, partly through conversations and discussions with participating parties.

The proposed solution and collaboration will make a big difference for the children and young people who today lack friends and activities. Expected results and effects: We believe the project has sounded: An increased understanding of the target group and the inequalities they face.

A consensus on how we should work to reduce inequalities by using the Integrated Arena as a method and working according to the joint plan that has been developed.

Through the current situation analyzes that have been carried out, we have gained a better picture of the activities and conditions that exist in each municipality. It has also given the municipalities an objective picture of their operations. It also makes it easy to find a consensus and a way forward.

Approach and implementation: The following has been carried out. Start-up: Introduction of project manager and detailed planning. Project management: General project management and administration.

Municipal work: Mapping each municipality to produce a report that presents the current situation for the target group. Information has mainly been collected via interviews. Training has been carried out in Integrated arena.

Joint plan: Using material from the project as a basis, make an upfront plan for how the work is organized at a start-up. Method manual: an evaluative text with lessons for the future.
